Two vital elements for our school to achieve its objectives are to employ outstanding teachers and staff, and to provide a physical environment that is conducive to learning. Approximately 90% of tuition revenue received is allocated towards these costs. Determining next year’s tuition requires an assessment of the projected enrollment and the overall operating costs. Also, the administration keeps a close watch on overhead costs, which has allowed us to review our tuition increments favourably for parents.
We do recognize that our tuition may be difficult to manage for some families and because of this, we are committed to continuing with our tuition subsidy programme to ensure that the maximum amount of financial support possible is offered to those families who require it.

It is important to remember that a large portion of the fees paid to The Toronto Heschel School qualify for a charitable tax receipt.
The tax receipt results in the after-tax cost of tuition being approximately 68% of the tuition amount. An example below is included to show the impact of the tax deductibility and the projected after-tax cost of tuition.
Please note that a charitable tax receipt is issued for tuition and donations that correspond to the fiscal year as determined by Canada Revenue Agency.
The entire amount of the building maintenance fee is eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
100% of any payment above the base tuition fee will qualify for a charitable tax receipt.
